The backyard stay-cation done right

Summer is here! I hope that you have kicked off the season with a bang. Everywhere you turn there are people abuzz with energy and excitement, children are now finished school, and families all over the GTA are planning getaways and celebrations to make the most of the beautiful weather and a season that passes way too quickly.

Many families, however, are choosing to go with a more economical summer-fun itinerary, opting to stay local and enjoy what has been coined in recent years as a ‘staycation’, instead of travelling out of province or fleeing the city to that northern cottage retreat. And why not? With so many fantastic things to do in the city this summer, it’s no wonder that the staycation has become so popular.

When my kids were growing up, summer time was all about the water. If they were handy to a beach or a swimming pool where they could spend the hot days cooling off and frolicking in the water, they were happy. It didn’t matter where we were, as long as they could swim.

If you are lucky enough to have a swimming pool, there is even more incentive for you to stay home with the kids this summer. Instead of spending your hard earned money on airfare, hotels, and expensive getaways, why not plan some fun-filled events in your own backyard? Entertain your family and friends by hosting a Canada Day barbeque and pool party, or just purchase a few good books and curl up in the sunshine to catch up on your reading (and relaxation) pool-side.

If you are not one of the fortunate few with the luxury of your own private backyard oasis, you may be looking at your plans for this summer and considering making a move to a new home that has more property for your family to enjoy. This home at 137 Crescent Road in the heart of Rosedale, may just be the most perfect backyard ‘staycation’ retreat that is currently available in the city of Toronto.

Featuring a gorgeous Betz stone pool, a spacious yard, a charming patio for entertaining, and an ambiance that is both peaceful and luxurious, this home’s backyard is truly spectacular. It provides all the comforts of home with a touch of lavish resort thrown in, making it truly feel like a ‘holiday getaway’ right in the middle of Toronto. In addition, the home itself is immaculate, with plenty of space for entertaining in style. Living here means you’ll never have to take a vacation again. If you’re in the market for a home that can accommodate your future staycations, are interested in finding out more about 137 Crescent Road, or would like to arrange a personal tour (sorry, tours don’t include a complimentary summer dip), then don’t hesitate to give me a call. Not only is it an ideal time to sell your existing property with home prices continuing to thrive, but this summer may also be a great time for you to consider purchasing your next dream home, with interest rates still at all time lows (but for how long?). I’m always here to help with any of your real estate related needs. I look forward to catching up with you soon.

Happy Summer!
